THE ROLE OF AL-AZHAR AND ITS MISSION OVER TIME

Abstract

Studying the role of Al-Azhar and its mission over time is one of the most prominent issues that researchers must address. Through it, we know the foundations of the Al-Azhari approach, which is destined to survive to the present time, and will continue, God willing. As an attempt to address this role, I saw the features of this role being extracted through extrapolation and its abstraction. The milestones, and this is the result of living and practicing them, I concluded that the true role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif is to build the human being and bring him to the heights of happiness, peace, tranquility and true knowledge, by building his mind and heart with a disciplined scientific and mystical methodology. I have collected in six milestones with a brief historical narrative about the history of Al-Azhar, Each of these landmarks is a building block for the mind and heart, and their combination brings about peace and reconstruction on the earth. The research also indicates the harmony of sciences among the scholars of Al-Azhar and some of them wrote on astronomy, medicine, and other things, in addition to his writing on the sciences of Sharia. For all of its time, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif has been a bastion for work. A destination for knowledge seekers.
