Abstract

This article examines the history and development of personal law in Christianity and Islam. More precisely, it studies how the religious teachings of these religions influenced the formation of private law norms. This article also discusses specific issues related to the analysis of general sources and ideas of ownership. Christian and Muslim rights were mainly based on the values of individual rights and had a significant impact on the further development of civilization. For Western Europe, this process was the transition from feudal society to capitalist formation, where private law found its place in new forms. The first views about the Muslim legal system and the place of the elements of private law in it have been preserved to this day and have only been partially updated. In the modern world, along with progressive development in all spheres of social life, religion has not lost its regulatory role; religious norms continue to influence social relations in all states of the modern world. In this regard, Christianity and Islam, which are among the modern world religions, play a special role, and in this regard, the study of religious teachings is very relevant.
