Abstract
This article examines the significance of women’s freedom of religious belief, addressing its legal, social, and cultural aspects. While freedom of religion is a fundamental human right, in some societies, women are restricted in their full exercise of this right. The article analyzes the manifestations of women’s religious rights in world religions, their historical development, current trends, and the influence of patriarchal views and cultural traditions. A specific focus is given to analyzing the situation of women’s religious freedom in Kazakhstan. It is emphasized that the free practice of their faith by women contributes to their personal growth, education, and active participation in public life. It is also noted that the observance of religious freedom is one of the key conditions for achieving gender equality.
